The past few months I’ve had this “thing” on my mouth that I’ve never had before. I’ve had canker sores, & it’s not that. It’s not on my mouth, or blister like, so it’s not a cold sore. I was baffled & irritated. As a precaution, my husband hasn’t kissed me in months-this is not good for the self-esteem! I’m partly to blame because I wouldn’t go to the doctor. It would get better, & then it would flare up again. Hubby & I tried to do some research, but were having difficulties getting any results other than canker/cold sore. We did learn that B vitamin &/or iron deficiency make things like this worse. So I started taking a multi-vitamin, B complex, & iron daily. After a month (or so) of that-no improvements. This is what it looked like the other day:
Well, after much irritation, pain, & frustration I finally figured out what I have. It’s a fungal infection called Angular cheilitis.
At first all my research for this kept coming up with secret treatments that cost way more than they should. This was not acceptable to me, so I kept praying & searching.
So now that I know what I’m up against, I put my thinking cap on. I really don’t want to have to go to the doctor if I can do it naturally-which I feel pretty certain I can.
This is what I’ve come up with-I’m using a solution of white vinegar & water. I came up with it from checking out these two sites:
I’m assuming it will take more that 24 hours for it to heal, but I’ll post the results.
